Washington Golf and Country Club Wedding: Julia and Chris
On a day when snow and ice threatened to make the day much more complicated, Julia and Chris remained cool and kept their sense of humor. As it turned out, the threat of snow made the Lincoln Memorial almost deserted. Julia tiptoed around to the side of the Memorial, dodging a bit of ice and water, to tap her husband-to-be on the shoulder. The sun peaked out just at the right time to signal, "This is going to be great." And it was.
Good humor, a wildly supportive group of friends, and parents who know how to host--these are a few of the things that made me happy to be there. Be sure to check out Chris' Budweiser jacket. If I remember right, it was his grandfather's jacket and has become a crazy heirloom. I love that kind of stuff.
Aside from a loving couple and a good party, I also had the pleasure of closing out the year of weddings with a great team. Drew was my second shooter, and Miranda my assistant and we had a great rhythm going on that night.
