Lauren and Ryan: A Washington D.C. Couple Elopes

I have photographed grand black tie weddings, intimate ceremonies at sunset, a couple of secret weddings (I’ll never tell), and sweet outdoor ceremonies by the bay, but Lauren and Ryan’s elopement was a first. Atop a Georgetown University Law dorm hall, the couple exchanged simple, sincere vows in the company of each other, the officiant and myself. I had not met the couple before booking, but over the two hours we shot photos in DC, I appreciated that these two knew what they wanted and weren’t afraid to do it exactly the way they imagined. It even included a first dance and a cupcake-sharing at Georgetown Cupcake. Thanks Lauren and Ryan for choosing me to photograph this intimate milestone for you. I loved every minute of it.
