Furever and Fur Always is a wedding day dog care business started by two friends in the DC Metro region this year.

Tehya Mockapetris and Tiffany Branson, friends and one-time roommates, both love dogs, and both had been attending a lot of weddings recently. Many of their friends own dogs, too, and wanted their four-legged friends to be part of their wedding day, but couldn’t figure out how to make it happen. The logistics just weren’t working out.

Tehya and Tiffany knew they could help, and officially launched their business during this summer’s busy wedding season. They want to help folks who love their dogs and want them to appear in engagement and wedding day photos, but don’t want to burden friends or family, who’d rather be grabbing drinks or dancing than taking the dog for a bathroom break.

Services range from pickup and transport (with a pet safety belt!) to accessorizing your furry friend to walk down the aisle, to honeymoon pet-sitting, and anything in-between. Tehya and Tiffany are totally flexible and just want to make your day – and your pet’s day – as fun and easy as possible.

“Your pets are with you every other day of the year, so why not on your wedding day, too?” they said.

Both grew up with dogs as family pets, and eventually rescued their own furry children from animal shelters. They consider their pets as family members, and treat their clients the same.

“We’re working with dogs and love, what could be better?” Tehya said.
