Society Fair Wedding: Kelli + Nate

I can’t believe how laid back Kelli and Nate were, unless one factors into the equation that they’ve already found each other—they’ve figured out that the hard part of a wedding is already over! I admire them, and their friends and family, for their fantastic positive attitudes, willingness to do anything, and ability to really enjoy each others’ company. Making photographs during their wedding day was like stepping into the visual equivalent of a Robert Altman movie—there’s a thousand conversations going on at once, and they are all interesting. I tried to document them all.

I particularly like the last images shown here, with Kelli and Nate at the bar. They seem to me the kind of couple I would want to sit next to, but also the couple that would stay way past everyone else went home. So, here they are, together. Even though there’s a party still going on, they’re going home together that night, and for the rest of their lives.
