Silver Swan Bayside Wedding: Michelle + Jeff

Photography is often a way for me to get invited to weddings that I would want to attend, anyway, if for the joy of meeting people like Michelle and Jeff. (Of course, we had met before, at their engagement session, but the same concept applies.) They felt such gratitude toward each other—they truly felt lucky. That’s an attitude that not only reflects the truth, it also is a great way to go through life.

And luck seems to follow them. First, of course, they used to date, then did other things, and then (years later) found each other again. As a metaphorical/atmospheric embodiment of that luck, we encountered the gorgeous sunset you see below. It was a lovely evening, with soft light. We had made a few images and were heading back inside. But then the color appeared. We ran out into it, and Michelle and Jeff told everyone inside to get outside, NOW! Everyone did. Even the staff came outside.
