Jen & James, an Eastern Shore Wedding at the Chesapeake Bay Beach Club

When you plan to have an outdoor ceremony, the weather is often a topic of anxiety. The question no one wants to say out loud is, "Will it rain on my wedding day?". Needless to say, the weather was discussed often leading up to Jen and James' wedding, because unfortunately the forecast called for rain. By the ceremony we had been lucky so far, but in the distance we saw large storm clouds coming our way. The ceremony commenced outside, and everyone crossed their fingers hoping the impending storm would hold out just a little longer. The hoopah actually started to fly up and guests from the wedding helped to hold it down. Much to everyone's relief the storm passed us by right before our eyes, all the while providing a gorgeous stormy backdrop during their ceremony. I loved this experience for so many reasons. Not only is it symbolic of the impending storms we'll experience as married couples, but as well I sensed the support and love of the family and friends surrounding Jen and James during their ceremony and throughout the day. This is exactly what we'll need when we as couples go down this road of matrimony. Support and love.
