Cosmos Club Wedding of J+B

Having photographed J & B's wedding, I came home having learned something about family. I saw what strong family can give, as a foundation, to two people. I saw two intellectually and emotionally sensitive people marry each as full equals, with confidence and insight. These are two people who I came to admire, and seeing their families around them, I saw them draw upon their families as sources of strength and love. Many people define themselves by their jobs, or their military service, or their alma mater, etc. But a solid family allows for greater freedom of movement, of self-definition. The more I knew about J & B, the more they defied any one label. They were themselves. And that is what I tried to capture on their wedding day.
