Airlie Estate Wedding: Christina + William
The first and the last thing one thinks about when meeting Christina and Bill is that they're in love. That other stuff--such as the very important work they've done professionally--seems a distant second. They enjoy the present in a way that I admire, and they think of others first. I figured this out when we met for a site visit, in about the first 120 seconds.
Speaking of the site, Bill and Christina picked Airlie because it was beautiful and so their friends and family could all stay there and enjoy themselves. It was a great call, since even though the location sprawls over hill over hill, with everyone together it felt intimate.
Once again, I have to speak about how much I enjoy watching couples get ready together, rather than separately. It's like a marriage in a box, before the marriage. Here, they prepared and helped each other look their best. During the ceremony, the rose petals on the ground brought a beautiful touch of color that reflected their joy.
Christina and Bill brought their loved ones together in a way that celebrated their marriage as an extension of themselves: open, affectionate, direct, other-centered, and with a good dose of humor.
My thanks to you for inviting me to witness your wedding!
