Baltimore has a new industrial venue for wedding receptions and other events. The Winslow is just near M&T Stadium and offers a unique amenity in Baltimore- PARKING on site.
Brought to you from the same people as the Mill Dye House, The Winslow offers a more modern, chic space for their wedding clients. The Winslow brings an urban feel due to its downtown Baltimore location. Built in the old Parker Metal Decorating Company building, it brings metal, angles, and a more old-time industrial vibe to their guests.
For Baltimore lovers, you may recall the metal tiles that adorn many historic ceilings in the city’s establishments. Some of those tiles were fabricated at The Winslow, among other metal adornments. The Winslow sits just at the base of M&T Bank Stadium, which makes it ideal for sports fans. Baltimore's newest wedding venue also has a rare amenity—included on-site parking! As long as one prepares for game-time traffic, you’ll have a place to land.
When I spoke with manager Janin Hardin about how she sees The Winslow’s unique place among Baltimore wedding venues, she brought up the location’s authenticity. “You can’t recreate an historic property, and get the same feel.” One has to take an historic property and make it accessible. To that end, the mezzanine offers some additional seating, the floor is modern poured concrete, and they’ve added the Train Shed, with floor-to-ceiling windows that face the train tracks. There, you really feel like you’re “at the crossroads.”
The developers have added a mezzanine balcony around the interior that provides an added vantage point to the beautiful available light that comes in below. For music, they have had the forethought to make sure that the stairwell landing, that faces the main floor, is wide enough to hold a good DJ station and allow guests to pass up and down the stairwell (one of two). Lighting inside the Winslow is fully adjustable. Hardin and her associates have installed a full catering kitchen. With a final, historic touch, The Winslow’s built-in bar will be made from corrugated metal and will feature a marble top that has been repurposed from an old movie theatre in town.
One final note, the rest of the building will be used for offices. Weekends are fully reserved for guests, but during the week events may need to be aware that other tenants will be using the building.

Some final touches are still needed, but this second level is great for cocktail hour while the space below is being set up for the reception.
