Margaret and Peter's Portrait Session
I shot the Day-After portrait for Margaret and Peter a few weeks after they came back from their honeymoon. Their honeymoon destination was Tahiti - one of the top destinations on my bucket list! They look
ed
totally relaxed and ready for some adventures!
Margaret is a sweet girl
who is also
full of ideas and is a total adventure-seeker. She wanted to do something different for their portrait session, and asked if I
could do underwater pictures
.
I love challenges and
thought
it was a fantastic
idea
… knowing that I am not a swimmer myself &
I was not sure how it could be done in running water with nothing to anchor on.
After reaching out to
Jennifer
and running through some ideas with her, we were both very excited about the shoot and Jennifer was nice enough to be my life guard ;)
On the day of, we met
Margaret & Peter at the parking lot and walked through the hidden path behind our studio, to the creek that Margaret and Peter go hiking quite often. I put on a bulky orange life vest and geared my camera up with an underwater housing and waterproof lights. I brought a waterproof music speaker, and Margaret brought scented candles to keep the bugs away and we were ready to go! I won't go into all the details of the shoot because it was so fun and you can see it through the pictures, but let me tell you, there was a lot of preparation that went into this before the shoot.
A big shout out to Jennifer, and Ingrid as well as Jenn’s boys Andrew, Ben, and Jake who stood behind me and helped me out that day! What a team and we had so much fun! Big hugs to Margaret and Peter, thank you for your trust and best of luck to you two!
