Not sure which album to choose? Here’s some things to know that will help you make a decision:
Albums that include a design session are completely customizable to your layout preferences. You choose the photos and we work on the design together. We share our professional guidance in making best decisions on the layout, but you have the final say in the finished layout. The Simple Album does not include a design session. For this album, we have you choose 40 images and we do the design in-house without any proofing.
The biggest difference in the albums is the page thickness. The Heirloom Album is the thickest with matted pages combined with pages where the photos are printed directly on the page. The Modern Album has thick, glossy pages and the photos are printed directly on the page - there are no cut mats. The Fine Art Album has thinner pages and the paper is a matte finish. The Simple Album has the thinest pages with a finish that is matte.
Each album includes a different number of images - we don't count page layouts, instead we count image numbers because we want to encourage great design. There is always the option to add more images for a fee of $25/image. $6.25 per image for the Simple Album. Discounts are available for large quantities.
Once you decide on an album, we can set up a quick zoom call to discuss the proofing and design process - we have a few different ways to work on the album together and you can decide what works best for you. We’ll set deadlines and give you an estimate for delivery. Everything is virtual!

One thing to keep in mind about photo albums - yes- there are plenty of more affordable options available at the consumer level, but just like any DIY project there is a measurable difference in our professionally designed and printed albums. Frequently Asked Questions
What is a design session?
This is a meeting we schedule with the album designer so you can work on the design of the album together. During our meeting we go through spread by spread and perfect the album to your liking. You can choose to do this in a 2-hour design session over zoom or you can choose to work independently through our proofing software to make comments on spreads. We’ll walk you through the options and decide together what is the best way to work on the design. You will have the opportunity to sign off on the proof of your album before it goes to print.
Some of your albums do not include a design session, how does that work?
You simply provide your album designer with the selection of images you would like included in the album, and choose how you’d like the exterior of the album to look. That’s it. We take care of the rest. Proofing is not included with this album, but if you would like to see the album before we send it off to print, we can accommodate your request for an additional fee.
What is our deadline to finalize the album?
Once you’ve purchased your album, we’ll send you an intro email that will include a deadline to have the design finalized by. We typically give about two months to get the work done and make all the decisions. We find that giving ourselves and our clients deadlines helps us set a goal to work towards. Once the deadline has passed, there is a nominal fee to revisit and finalize the design. No worries though, we give you plenty of reminders and check-ins. If the album decisions are not made within 6 months of the purchase date, there is a $250 fee to finalize the album.
How soon will I receive my album?
We aim for two to four months after you purchase the album to have it shipped to you and in your hands. A lot depends on how quickly the decisions are made about design, cover material and other choices.
Can I get a refund if I don’t like the album when I receive it?
Because we work so closely with you to finalize the album design, we are certain you will love it! We can’t give refunds on custom work, but if for any reason you think there might be an error on our part, let us know and we can discuss your options. Simple Albums are designed in house and sent directly to the printer, so there are no changes to the design, but you will have a choice about the cover material and cover photo and you are welcome to give us notes that might help with the design.
Do I have to pay for shipping?
No- shipping is included.
Can I make exact duplicates of my album?
Yes, absolutely! Duplicates are offered at a discounted rate. Since every album is custom, we can give you a quote once the main album has been designed. Sometimes the design can work in other album options too.
Can I request any retouch work to my photos that are included in the album?
Yes, we want your final album to be fully retouched to your specifications. Any minimal requests your album designer will do for you. Extensive retouching (removing people, changing major objects in a scene) is outsourced and requires an additional fee.
Can I add imprinting to my album?
Yes! There is a no additional fee for imprinting.
Are all of the cover materials included in the price of the album?
Yes.
Can I add images beyond the “starting” amount?
We include a fair number of images to get you started on a design. If you want to include additional images beyond what’s included, there is a fee.
Fine Art and Modern albums:
$25 per image. Discounts are available for large quantities of additional images.
Simple album:
$10 per each additional image beyond the starting amount.
